Keeping your Dog Safe.

Its not just summer that it’s important that you keep your Dog safe, the day’s are longer and warmer and Teddy and Pelle just love to be outside running around the garden . My garden is quite large and there are area’s that I can’t actually see them so that is when I start to panic. No need actually because it’s quite secure, the fence is ok with no broken bits to squeeze through, ย the gate is secure and they can’t get out so my minds at rest. You can image when one day I suddenly found a stranger at my front door, I was mortified. The first question before I said anything was, “Did you close the gate” and second, what are you doing in my garden? Soon the dogs came around from the back of the house barking like mad at this intruder who looked quite scared to be honest.

After this incident it really started me thinking, I am always concerned that the dog’s can’t get out but, I never thought about who can get in???

It’s happening all of the time not just in the summer months that dog’s are stolen from ย their home’s right under their owner’s noseses. I wrote earlier in the year the statistics regarding this and it is very high and getting even higher every year.

The times I had read (almost everyday) on FB, “anyone missing a dog, seen one running around the fields” “There’s a Dog running on the motorway” “Dog gone missing” etc etc, I really dont understand this at all. This is ideal for those waiting in the wings to grab these dog’s and take them off for whatever purpose, it’s really quite unacceptable, YOUR DOG, YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

The point of this post is actually to make you awhare that this is going on all over. If you have a puppy or a Dog someone might be watching you for the purpose to stealing the Dog when you are least expecting it. They will use Puppies in Puppy farming and all other sorts of illegal activities, its actaully unbearable to think what might happen so please, be awhare all the time when you leave your dog in the car, the garden or anywhere in public, we are not all Dog lovers. Keep them Safe.
